A hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Africa, Rwanda is known for its spectacular natural beauty and wildlife preservation. In recent years, the country has also become synonymous with fast growth, good governance, technological innovation and sustainability.

In 2019, over a span of 9 days, join Kente & Silk, Philanthropy in Motion (PIM) and Seven United to explore the sustainable developments, technological innovations, agricultural practices and eco-tourism industry in Rwanda’s capital Kigali, the Virunga mountains and Lake Kivu. Discuss sustainability policies with local governments and international organizations, visit local businesses, witness the natural beauty of Rwanda landscapes, tour a local coffee producer, and so much more!

When: Winter Program February 10-18, 2019 | Summer Program July 6-14, 2019

Where: Rwanda (Kigali, Musanze, Kirongi)

What: 8-day program focused on exploring Rwanda’s sustainable development across technology, agriculture and eco-tourism industries

Who: Young professionals and/or graduate students interested in sustainability, development and/or green finance; entrepreneurs and/or social innovators

Program Cost:  USD $2,250. This fee covers program tuition, 8-night accommodation, local transportation, daily lunches and group activities. Participants are responsible for flights, visa, insurance and other personal expenses.

    Pre-program Online Course

    Learn about the core issues affecting sustainable development, and develop an understanding of the main challenges of a sustainable green economy

Eligibility

Participants will be selected through a competitive application process. Our participants come from top universities and companies around the world.

Young professionals; Graduate students interested in sustainability, development or green finance; Entrepreneurs; Social innovators; Philanthropists and social sector practitioners are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants demonstrate:

  • Highly-motivated young people in possession of innovative and open mindset, willing to connect with peers from all regions of the world
  • Track record of creating, spreading and leading solutions to pressing social challenges, be it through entrepreneurship, policy, student clubs, volunteer work, or others.
  • High proficiency in English with the ability to engage in complex discussions (program is entirely English-based)
